Ancients

There are petroglyphs just above Palm Springs. Come check them out with me. It's a strenuous out and back 5.5 mile hike with amazing views, a stream crossing, and in the Spring there are flowers everywhere. I've spotted Scott's orioles, deer, fox, and cactus wren on this hike.

No one knows the age of the petroglyphs, however most experts agree they are many thousands of years old and they have never been deciphered. Was it a crossroads and a description of what lies ahead or below? Are they shamanic vision quests serving as portals into supernatural worlds?
